Meet the Doctors:
Dr. James V Lang received his doctorate from Life University, located in Marietta Georgia in 1994, graduating with "cum laude" honors. Prior to coming to Hillsborough, Dr. Lang worked as an associate doctor with a prominent Philadelphia Chiropractic facility, it was during this tenure that Dr. Lang treated patients with a myriad of conditions and complaints in a very busy practice setting, which helped to prepare him for private practice.
In 1997, Dr. Lang moved to the Central Jersey area and established the Mountainview Chiropractic Center, and has been treating patients from Hillsborough and the surrounding areas since.
During Dr. Lang's Chiropractic career he has had the opportunity to administer care to a wide variety of patient groups, from professional and amateur athletes, to small children and seniors. It is this experience along with a continuation of education and technique skills, with emphasis on treating the whole person that enables the team at Mountainview Chiropractic Center to treat patients effectively. This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Lang is able to help his patients accelerate and/or maintain their journey to good health.
Dr. Lang is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and is licensed by the State of New Jersey to practice chiropractic. He also has received training in physiological therapeutics, and MRI interpretation.
Dr. Lang lives in Hillsborough with his wife, Melinda (our office manager) and twin boys. He enjoys fishing, golfing, skiing, travel and just about any outdoor activity one can think of.
Dr. Eric Cousino is the newest member of the team at Mountainview Chiropractic Center. Dr. Eric Cousino was born in Somerset County and grew up in Central New Jersey. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Medicine and Strength and Conditioning. During his undergraduate degree he had the opportunity to perform and develop rehabilitation and strength and conditioning programs for college, professional and Olympic athletes. During his time at UD he decided to participate and publish a number of articles in various medical journals involving neuropsychological damage while heading a soccer ball and the decrease of functional activity in young obese males. After the University of Delaware Dr. Cousino decided to pursue a career in chiropractic medicine where he enrolled in New York Chiropractic College and graduated cum laude in 2009. While attending NYCC he honed and developed his diverse clinical approach by combining chiropractic, exercise rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy, functional strength enhancement and nutrition. Dr. Cousino is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and a certified athletic trainer.
